Sustainable Stereoscope
While reading about 19th century landscape, I came across the stereoscope, which was invented at this time. Aside from taking pictures of lands far and away, stereographs archived pictures of the lanscape of the time for people to look at in a 3 dimensional way. I made this with both the 19th and 21st century in mind. I used sharp angles and white paint to give the sturcture a modern architectual feel and I drew classic Victorian designs on it to reference that era. The stereograph is a combination a scanned in stereograph of the Colorado Rockies and my own addition of Mt. Kilomanjaro and a giraffe, which are both disintegrating.
