These are systemic portraits, taken partially from medical imagery of dyed proteins and body scans. I wanted to used the materiality of the paint to give the imagery a more visceral feel. I was also imagining how chemical food additives dye and invade natural tissues. These are combinations of resin pours, styrofoam, acrylic paint, and digital imagery. I was interested in how we view our bodies with modern technology and also how modern technology informs how we think of ourselves within our bodies.
