This was a digital collage series I made after getting access to the medical library on campus during graduate school. I was able to get full color detail shots of interior anatomy and integrate them into wild landscapes. I was interested in the interior of the body as an unknown sublime landscape. I saw this as an offshoot of the romantic landscape painters but turned inward instead of outward. This is cross-section photography of a lung from a cadaver interlaced with scenes from a desert valley in Utah.
