For this painting, I used Thomas Cole's View From Mt. Holyoake, the Oxbow. That particular painting was painted in 1836, so the 2036 in the title means the same view, only 200 years later. I tried to imagine the light that was so important in the painting as completely polluted instead of clear and bright.
